Paris. Privately printed. 1931. 22pp. A long poem on the theme of Christian redemption through work. The author appears to have been an abbot at Limoges, and was also responsible for a C20 work on the history of the Vicomte de Turenne. This poem, published in a very limited edition of 130 numbered copies, is illustrated by William Fel, with a frontispiece and fine wood engravings in an art nouveau style on every page. Original printed wraps, lightly sunned. Occasional minor foxing. A presentation copy from the author to members of his family, and including a duplicated typescript of what would appear to be a further poem by the same hand, entitled 'Le Chat'.
